Regular Season Round 18: Bakken - Randers 100-82

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Randers (8-10) lost to second ranked Bakken (14-3) in Risskov 82-100 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Randers was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot 60.6 percent from the field. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Randers' players. It was a good game for American-Trinidad and Tobago forward Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St., agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory with 25 points. American forward Jeffrey Crockett (201-91, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. Bakken's coach Steffen Wich allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Nigerian-American guard Deuce Bello (192-92, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Dutt Sports Services) replied with 30 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Devon Thomas (183-94, college: Texas Tech) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Randers. Bakken have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 14-3 record having just three points less than leader Horsens IC. Loser Randers keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Bakken will face Horsholm (#4) on the road in the next round. Randers will play against the league's leader Horsens IC and hope to win that game.
