Regular Season Round 18: Naestved - Wolfpack/BMS 111-73
Date: February 18, 2018
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Naestved (11-7) crushed at home 7th ranked BMS Skovlunde (3-15) 111-73 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Naestved. BMS Skovlunde was better in fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naestved shot 60.6 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by BMS Skovlunde's players. It was a good game for forward Philip Hertz (195-92, college: Rio Grande) who led his team to a victory with 31 points (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). American guard Troy Franklin (183-89, college: Coppin St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Five Naestved players scored in double figures. American forward Durell Vinson (202-85, college: Wagner) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Mike Martin (183-93, college: Cent.Arkansas) added 15 points in the effort for BMS Skovlunde. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Naestved moved-up to third place. BMS Skovlunde lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with 15 games lost. Naestved will face Svendborg (#6) at home in the next round.
