Regular Season Round 19: Randers - Horsens IC 85-93

Ligaen top team - Horsens IC (18-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Randers (9-11) 93-85. Randers were ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 56-41 second half run of Horsens IC. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Randers' 32 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Horsens IC had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for the former international center Kevin Larsen (207-93, college: G.Washington) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Bosnian forward Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) accounted for 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. American-Belizean forward Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Kyndahl Hill (201-94, college: Weber St.) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Randers in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Horsens IC maintains first place with 18-2 record. Randers at the other side keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. Horsens IC will play against BMS Skovlunde (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Randers will play against Stevnsgade and hope to get back on the winning track.
