Regular Season Round 19: Craiova - CSU Sibiu 72-79

Liga Nationala top team - CSU Sibiu (16-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Craiova (9-10) 79-72. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-19. But Craiova won second period 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Craiova was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for American Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman, agency: Court Side) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Tyler Laser (185-88, college: E.Illinois) accounted for 10 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Nemanja Aleksandrov (210-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Croatian-Bosnian guard Ivan Mikulic (194-91, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Craiova in the defeat. Craiova's coach Rami Hadar rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for CSU Sibiu. They maintain first place with 16-4 record. Craiova at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. CSU Sibiu will play against Targu Mures (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Craiova will play against the league's second-placed UBT Cluj Napoca and hopes to get back on the winning track.
