Regular Season Round 39: Neptunas-Akv. - Taurages 80-74

Not a big story in a game in Klaipeda where 10th ranked Taurages (18-21) was defeated by third ranked Neptunas-Akv. (26-13) 80-74. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Taurages was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Deividas Anuzis (182-92) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 5 assists. Aidas Einikis (195-96) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Five Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Forward Paulius Morkeliunas (202-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (185-85) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Taurages in the defeat. Taurages' coach Edvardas Zemgulis tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Neptunas-Akv. maintains third place with 26-13 record having ten points less than leader Vytis. Newly promoted Taurages keeps the tenth position with 21 games lost.
