Regular Season Round 24: Schwenningen - Limburg 93-58

Very expected game when 15th ranked Limburg (1-22) was rolled over on the road by first ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (22-1) 93-58 on Saturday. BV Villingen-Schwenningen dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Limburg's 28 and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Limburg 39-24 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. BV Villingen-Schwenningen looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Limburg's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Rasheed Moore (196, college: E.Stroudsburg) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Lithuanian guard Darius Pakamanis (192-81) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). BV Villingen-Schwenningen's coach Alen Velcic felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian forward Franko Koljanin (200) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Julius Zurna (188-86) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BV Villingen-Schwenningen have an impressive 21-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South-West with 22-1 record. Limburg lost twentieth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 22 games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will face Kaiserslautern (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Limburg will play against Koblenz (#3) and hope to win that game.
