BBL top team - Bayern Muenchen (22-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (7-17) 111-91. Bayern Muenchen dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Mitteldeutscher BC's 30 and made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Bayern Muenchen had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Mitteldeutscher BC's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Mitteldeutscher BC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Serbian guard Stefan Jovic (198-90) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). American guard Braydon Hobbs (196-89, college: Bellarmine) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Bayern Muenchen's coach Aleksandar Djordjevic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian swingman Djordje Drenovac (201-92) replied with 23 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and American guard Andrew Warren (196-87, college: Bradley) added 20 points in the effort for Mitteldeutscher BC. Five Bayern Muenchen and four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Bayern Muenchen have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-1 record. Mitteldeutscher BC lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 17 games lost. Bayern Muenchen are looking forward to face Braunschweig (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against Telekom Baskets and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
