There was no surprise in Vidin where 6th ranked Rilski 2 (1-8) was crushed by fourth ranked Vidabasket (4-3) 103-69. Vidabasket forced 20 Rilski 2 turnovers and had a 35-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Rilski 2's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Rilski 2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Julian Kolev (194-80) nailed 29 points and 5 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Teodor Nikolov (194-95) accounted for 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). Plamen Stefanov came up with 13 points and 5 steals and point guard Pavel Nikolov (176-0) added 14 points respectively for Rilski 2 in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vidabasket maintains fourth place in A with 4-3 record. Rilski 2 at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Vidabasket's next round opponent will be Chernomorets (#5) in Burgas. Rilski 2 will play on the road against Balkan 2 in Botevgrad and hope to win that game.
