WSG Koenigs dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Westerstede's 36. They outrebounded Westerstede 50-27 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. WSG Koenigs' coach Lars Bothe allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Nigel Pruitt (201-94, college: Kennesaw St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Franjo Borchers (190-93) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Five WSG Koenigs and four Westerstede players scored in double figures. WSG Koenigs have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with defeated Westerstede. WSG Koenigs will face ALBA-2 (#11) in Berlin in the next round.
