No shocking result in a game when second ranked Neustadt TSV (19-4) smashed at home 13th ranked Ebstorf (1-23) 103-71 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Ebstorf's 34. They outrebounded Ebstorf 50-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Mubarak Salami (197-96) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Dutch point guard Dyon Doekhi (188-87) chipped in 25 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Andreas Willing (196-81) who recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Andreas Wendler (181) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Neustadt TSV. Newly promoted Neustadt TSV maintains second place in North with 19-4 record having four points less than leader Muenster. Ebstorf lost their tenth game in a row. Ebstorf at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 23 games lost. Neustadt TSV will face Westerstede (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
