Thirteenth-ranked Duzce Belediye (12-20) was very close to win a game against tenth ranked Bakirkoy (16-16) in Istanbul. Bakirkoy managed to secure only one-point victory 87-86. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Manny Atkins (201-91, college: Georgia St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and Canadian guard Marek Klassen (185-92, college: Point Loma) who added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. American point guard Corin Henry (178-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 26 points and 4 assists and naturalized Serbian center Mesut Ademoglu (207-82, college: NW Nazarene) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Duzce Belediye's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bakirkoy moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Istanbulspor and Orman Genclik. Duzce Belediye lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Bakirkoy will play against Yalova Bld (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Duzce Belediye will play against Karesi Spor (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
