No shocking result in a game when second ranked Arkadia Lions (23-8) crushed on the road bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (3-29) 98-79 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Arkadia Lions. UBSC Graz was better in third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Arkadia Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a very good performance for American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 assists. Bosnian-Croatian power forward Jozo Brkic (211-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center Darien Nelson-Henry (211-94, college: Pennsylvania) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and French Matt Gamberoni (208-91, college: Trevecca Naz.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for UBSC Graz. Five Arkadia Lions and four UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Arkadia Lions have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 23-8 record having just two points less than leader Kapfenberg. UBSC Graz lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 29 lost games. Arkadia Lions will face league's leader Kapfenberg Bulls on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
