No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Siauliai (15-19) beat bottom-ranked Vytautas (8-25) in Prienai 73-69 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 21-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Arminas Urbutis (206-86, college: Hofstra, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. International power forward Laurynas Birutis (213-97) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Siauliai's coach Antanas Sireika used entire bench in such tough game. International forward Eigirdas Zukauskas (205-92) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Justas Sinica (203-85) added 18 points respectively for Vytautas in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Siauliai maintains fifth place with 15-19 record. Loser Vytautas stay dead last with 25 lost games. Siauliai will meet at home higher ranked Lietkabelis (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vytautas will play against Neptunas (#3) and hope to secure a win.
