Fifteenth-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (10-24) gave a tough game to seventh ranked Brose Baskets (22-12) in Weissenfels. The visitors from Bamberg managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected much easier game. American forward Dorell Wright (206-85) notched 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American-Italian guard Daniel Hackett (199-87, college: USC) supported him with 8 points and 6 rebounds. Brose Baskets' coach Luca Banchi allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 27 points and 5 assists by American point guard Lamont Jones (183-90, college: Iona, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) did not help to save the game for Mitteldeutscher BC. Serbian power forward Djordje Pantelic (204-84) added 9 points and 13 rebounds for lost side. Brose Baskets have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. Mitteldeutscher BC lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 24 games lost. They share it with Goettingen.
