Kapfenberg thumped visiting Gmunden to surge ahead in the championship series 3-2. The game was mostly controlled by Kapfenberg Bulls. Gmunden Swans managed to win second period 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Gmunden Swans to just 6 points in third quarter. 24 personal fouls committed by Gmunden Swans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized Croatian power forward Milan Stegnjaic (204-81) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line).
