Regular Season Round 7: Bakken - Herlev 71-78

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Bakken (3-2) lost to seventh ranked Herlev (3-2) in Aarhus 71-78 on Wednesday. Herlev looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Marqus Marion (204-2004) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard August Haas (187-1997, college: St.Edward's) accounted for 15 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. American forward Elijah Childs (202-1999, college: Bradley) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Sudanese-Australian forward Deng Adel (201-1997, college: Louisville, agency: Verus Management) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Bakken in the defeat. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. Bakken's coach Anders Sommer rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Herlev moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Bakken. Herlev will meet at home higher ranked Randers (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bakken will play against Copenhagen and hope to secure a win.
