An interesting game took place in Vilnius where higher ranked Delikatesas (2-4) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Rytas 2 (2-5) 113-81 on Thursday. Rytas 2 made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Rytas 2 outrebounded Delikatesas 43-28 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Augustinas Kiudulas (203-2003) fired 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Gediminas Alisas (196-2004) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Rytas 2's coach Andrius Slezas felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Corey Boyd (206-1998) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and Ugnius Mineikis (190-2000) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rytas 2 moved-up to tenth place, which they share with LSU-Atletas and Palanga. Loser Delikatesas dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Rytas 2 will meet higher ranked Silute (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Delikatesas will play against Kretinga (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
