Regular Season Round 7: Amager - Herlev 76-73

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Herlev (5-1) in Kastrup on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Amager (3-5) 76-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Herlev. Amager made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Herlev turnovers and outrebounded them 51-40 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international guard Ena Viso (177-1993, college: S.Dakota St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Rikke Fabricius (186-1992, college: CMU) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side the former international forward Ellen Iversen (180-1997) responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds and forward Emilie Larsen (177-2001) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Herlev's coach Miguel Ventosa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Amager maintains third place with 3-5 record having three points less than leader Falcon. Herlev at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Amager will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Herlev will play at home against the league's leader Falcon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
