There was no surprise when 8th ranked Copenhagen (3-6) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Herlev (4-3) 92-84 on Friday. American forward Eamonn Joyce (208-1997, college: SNHU, agency: One Motive Sports) stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard August Haas (187-1997, college: St.Edward's) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Spanish guard Andrew Ramirez (188-1997, college: Hartford) with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Hannibal Salomon (196-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Herlev moved-up to fifth place. Copenhagen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Herlev will meet at home Svendborg (#6) in the next round. Copenhagen will play against BAC in Aarhus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
