Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Bargteheide and 10th ranked Westerstede had identical 3-6 record. But Westerstede was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from 112-111 on Saturday night. Bargteheide forced 22 Westerstede turnovers. American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-1991, college: AAMU) notched 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals to lead the effort and Marcel Hoppe (198-1998) supported him with 32 points and 6 rebounds. Even 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by point guard Fritz Hemschemeier (182-1998) did not help to save the game for Westerstede. Ukrainian guard Rauf Amirbekov (191-2004) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Westerstede's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bargteheide (4-6) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Westerstede keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Limburg. Bargteheide will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Westerstede will play against Berlin BG 2000 (#5) and hope to secure a win.
