There was no surprise when 14th ranked Aachen (1-9) lost at home to fourth ranked Ibbenbueren (6-4) 68-63 on Saturday. Ibbenbueren outrebounded Aachen 43-30 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kai Hanig notched a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Tim Kosel (194-1999) supported him with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Sasha French (211-1996, college: Azusa Pacific) did not help to save the game for Aachen. Felix Huesmann added 14 points for lost side. Aachen's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ibbenbueren moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Aachen lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Giessen Ak..
