No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Kedainiu (3-3) beat at home bottom-ranked Druskininku (0-5) 69-53 on Wednesday. Kedainiu dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Druskininku's 22. Kedainiu forced 19 Druskininku turnovers and outrebounded them 57-35 including a 24-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Loreta Sulimaite (172-1998) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Center Agne Antanaviciute (186-1994) accounted for 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Ugne Viscinyte came up with 18 points and Monika Cimalonskyte added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Druskininku in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kedainiu moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 7bet Vilnius and Kauno-LSMU. Druskininku lost their fifth game in a row. Druskininku at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with five games lost. Kedainiu will meet at home higher ranked Kibirkstis-MRU (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Druskininku will play against Vilniaus DPV (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
