Regular Season Round 9: Aabyhoj - Herlev 80-77

The most exciting game of round 9 in the Dameligaen took place in Aabyhoj. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Herlev (5-3) to fourth ranked Aabyhoj (3-6) 80-77 on Sunday evening. Aabyhoj forced 21 Herlev turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Herlev helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international forward Ida Krogh (181-1991, college: Nova SE) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Center Kia Fisker (185-1995, college: SF Austin) answered with 9 points and 15 rebounds and forward Bianca Braikia (179-2003) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Herlev. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Aabyhoj moved-up to third place, which they share with Amager. Herlev at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Aabyhoj is looking forward to face Amager (#3) in Kastrup in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Herlev will play at home against SISU and is hoping to win this game.
