There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Muenster (5-7) won against at home 11th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (5-7) 96-80 on Sunday. Muenster dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's 22. They outrebounded Eisbaeren Bremerhaven 42-24 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Muenster looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Eisbaeren Bremerhaven's players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Cosmo Gruehn (201-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Muenster players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American Jarelle Reischel (200-1992, college: EKU, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who recorded 20 points and naturalized American Daniel Norl (188-1995, college: Omaha) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Muenster moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Eisbaeren Bremerhaven.
