No shocking result in a game in Trier where ninth ranked Gladiators (9-7) smashed bottom-ranked Leverkusen (2-14) 102-82 on Saturday. Gladiators looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Leverkusen's players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Garai Zeeb (187-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists and American Daniel Monteroso (191-1994, college: West Liberty) who added 18 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side naturalized Brazilian Gabriel De Oliveira (206-1998) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and Haris Hujic (193-1997, agency: LUMANI 10.7) scored 12 points and 9 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gladiators have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Leverkusen lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Gladiators will meet higher ranked 46ers (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leverkusen will play against Artland Dragons (#3) in Quakenbrueck and hope to secure a win.
