The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Falcon (9-1) on the court of third ranked Aabyhoj on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Aabyhoj 74-69. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Falcon. It was a good game for international center Caroline Wich (185-1996, college: Portland St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Sophie Kjems-Krognos (173-1994) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Aabyhoj players scored in double figures. International guard Elisabeth Brynaa (176-1993) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kristin Jonsdottir (173-1997) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Falcon. Falcon's coach Jesper Krone rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aabyhoj have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-6 record having just one point less than leader Falcon. Defending champion Falcon still keeps top place with one game lost. Aabyhoj will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Falcon will play at home against Amager and is hoping to win this game.
