Very expected game in Ulm where 8th ranked OrangeAcademy (5-10) was defeated by third ranked Coburg (11-5) 87-81 on Sunday. Coburg made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 OrangeAcademy turnovers. Strangely OrangeAcademy outrebounded Coburg 42-20 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Adrian Worthy (187-2003) stepped up and scored 24 points and 4 steals for the winners and naturalized American point guard Tyreese Blunt (192-2002) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Coburg players scored in double figures. Austrian David Fuchs (203-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and Danish Tobias Jensen (190-2004) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Coburg. They maintain third place with 11-5 record having five points less than leader BSW Sixers. OrangeAcademy at the other side dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with SC Wizards. Coburg will meet at home Ehingen/Urspringschule (#6) in the next round. OrangeAcademy will play against Ludwigsburg (#13) and hope to secure a win.
