Fifth ranked Tornado KM (8-6) crushed at home 8th ranked Panevezio (6-8) by 36 points 103-67, which is the biggest margin this round on Tuesday night. The game without a history. Tornado KM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tornado KM forced 21 Panevezio turnovers and outrebounded them 55-36 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Panevezio's players. Power forward Emilis Baltrimavicius (203-2005) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Gustas Kucinskas (-2006) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Tornado KM players scored in double figures. Tornado KM's coach Sarunas Zablockis felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Arnas Strikulys (188-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Arnas Stankevicius (-2005) scored 28 points and 4 steals. Tornado KM maintains fifth position with 8-6 record. Panevezio lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Tornado KM are looking forward to face higher ranked Saule (#3) in Siauliai in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Panevezio will play at home against SKM I (#4) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
