No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked 46ers (13-7) beat 7th ranked Titans (11-9) in Giessen 90-76 on Saturday. They outrebounded Titans 40-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by guard Nico Brauner (187-1994, college: St.Mary's) who scored that evening 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Jordan Barnes (178-1997, college: Indiana St.) supported him with 20 points. Even 19 points and 4 assists by American guard David Kachelries (183-1998, college: SF Austin) did not help to save the game for Titans. Center Georg Voigtmann (213-1994) added 15 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. 46ers maintains fourth position with 13-7 record. Titans lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Nuernberg. 46ers will meet Phoenix Hagen (#5) on the road in the next round. Titans will play against Falcons in Nuernberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
