The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Randers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Randers smashed 5th ranked Herlev at home 88-52. Randers forced 19 Herlev turnovers and outrebounded them 34-22 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Randers. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Herlev at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. There is only one round left in the Regular Season.
