There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Muenster (9-13) beat on the road higher ranked Kirchheim Knights (10-12) 91-80 on Saturday. Muenster looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989, agency: LUMANI 10.7) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Stefan Wess (203-1994, agency: LUMANI 10.7) chipped in 21 points during the contest. At the losing side American center Tyrone Nash (203-1988, college: Notre Dame) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import point guard Richard Williams Jr (178-1987, college: SDSU) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Muenster and four Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Muenster moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Kirchheim Knights keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Paderborn and Bremerhaven. Muenster will meet higher ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kirchheim Knights will play against Gladiators and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
