Regular Season Round 14: Amager - SISU 67-52
Date: February 18, 2023
Bottom-ranked Amager managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the seven-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they won against fourth-ranked SISU in Kastrup 67-52. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference proves that Amager was well-prepared to that game. They also forced 19 SISU turnovers. The former international guard Ena Viso (177-1993, college: S.Dakota St.) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Isabella Palmqvist (180-2004) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Josefine Haabegaard (180-1999) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Rim Taha (167-2004) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Amager (4-10) moved-up to fourth place. Loser SISU dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Amager will meet higher ranked Aabyhoj (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. SISU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Copenhagen Falcon.
