An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kyiv. Leader Kyiv Basket faced 4th placed Blyskavky. Host Kyiv Basket (8-0) defeated guests from Vinnytsia (6-6) 67-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Blyskavky. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-15. But Blyskavky won second period 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Swingman Mariya Tkach (180-1992) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international forward Olga Krasnikova (182-1984) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Victoria Ogiy (170-1995) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Violetta Ostapchuk (170-2005) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Blyskavky. Kyiv Basket have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Newly promoted Blyskavky keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Kyiv Basket will play against Pereyaslav (#5) in Khmelnytskyi in the next round. Blyskavky will have a break next round.
