The game between closely ranked teams ended with Holbaek's (2-22) road loss to Amager (5-18) in Kastrup 78-82 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Amager made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for forward Tomas Bjarkason (204-1999, college: Lewis) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. American guard Mitch Pelissier (190-1997, college: Concordia, IL) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Pelissier is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Rasmus Moller (202-2002) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Spanish point guard Pablo Lopez (182-2001) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for Holbaek in the defeat. Five Amager and four Holbaek players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
