Regular Season Round 28: Giessen - Nuernberg 74-82

There was an upset in Giessen where higher ranked 46ers (16-12) were defeated by thirteenth ranked Falcons (12-16) 82-74 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian Justinas Ramanauskas (193-2000) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 steals and American forward Rocky Kreuser (206-1999, college: NDSU) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Falcons players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Jordan Barnes (178-1997, college: Indiana St.) responded with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian forward Stefan Fundic (200-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Falcons moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Kirchheim. 46ers at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Hagen. Falcons will meet at home bottom-ranked Schwenningen (#18) in the next round where they are favorite. 46ers will play against Uni Baskets (#10) in Paderborn and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the BBL just one year after relegation.
