Regular Season Round 30: Karlsruhe PS - Muenster 85-62

There was no surprise in Karlsruhe where 14th ranked Muenster (11-19) was outplayed by fourth ranked Lions (19-11) 85-62 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was naturalized Ivorian guard Bazoumana Kone (190-1993, college: Bremerhaven) who scored 26 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American point guard Ben Shungu (188-1997, college: Vermont) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989) who recorded 10 points and point guard Jasper Guenther (181-1999) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lions have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Artland. Newly promoted Muenster keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Duesseldorf. Lions will meet Falcons (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muenster will play against Artland Dragons and hope to secure a win.
