Very expected game when 12th ranked Bursa (1-3) was rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Mersin (3-2) 90-71 on Saturday. Mersin outrebounded Bursa 40-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Hungarian center Virag Kiss (195-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Ukrainian swingman Alina Iagupova (186-1992, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Mersin's coach Roberto Iniguez used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Lebanese forward Trinity Baptiste (183-1998, college: Arizona) responded with 24 points and American point guard Kiana Williams (173-1999, college: Stanford) scored 18 points and 6 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mersin. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Besiktas and Emlak. Loser Bursa keeps the twelfth position with three games lost.
