Emlak 2's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Cerkezkoy (2-2) 67-52 on Monday. The winners were led by Eda Balkan (-2004) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Berfin Sertoglu (171-2004) supported her with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by American center Ionna McKenzie (188-1996, college: Texas Tech) did not help to save the game for Cerkezkoy. Sevval Oyan (-1998) added 13 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Emlak 2 (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Cerkezkoy dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Emlak 2 will meet at home higher ranked Urla (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cerkezkoy will play against Cankirispor and hope to secure a win.
