KBSL top team - Fenerbahce (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Bursa (1-5) in Istanbul 101-65. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Bursa's 42. Fenerbahce forced 20 Bursa turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Bursa's players. It was a quality performance for American forward Natasha Howard (190-1991, college: FSU, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Serbian center Nikolina Milic (191-1994) accounted for 22 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. American forward Madison Williams (180-1999, college: Oklahoma) came up with 17 points and German forward Tuba Poyraz (184-2001) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Bursa in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Bursa lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Tarsus. Fenerbahce will play against Nesibe (#10) in Ankara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bursa will play at home against Izmit to get more than just one victory in their record.
