There was no surprise in Klaipeda where 13th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (1-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Delikatesas (4-2) 91-82 on Thursday. Delikatesas looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Delikatesas made 24 blocks. It was a great evening for American Darion Rackley (187-1992, college: Jax State) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks. Swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-1992) helped adding 14 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 blocks. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Kristupas Lesciauskas (190-2005) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks and Matas Repsys (205-2002) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Neptunas-Akv.'s coach Alfredas Kaniava let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Delikatesas moved-up to fifth place. Loser Neptunas-Akv. keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Rytas 2. Delikatesas will meet at home higher ranked Suduva-Mantinga (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Vytis (#12) in Sakiai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
