Regular Season Round 4: Gargzdu SM - Utenos 84-81

Gargzdu SM has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Utenos (1-3) 84-81 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 41-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gargzdu SM outrebounded Utenos 41-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Gargzdu SM looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Utenos ' players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Paulius Kulikauskas (203-2006) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Jonas Tiapkovas (-2006) who added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. Four Gargzdu SM players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Titas Didzgalvis (181-2006) responded with 34 points (!!!), 7 assists and 5 steals and guard Adrijus Totoris (160-2006) scored 20 points. Utenos' coach Ernestas Leipus tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Gargzdu SM left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with SKM I and Utenos. It was Utenos ' third loss in a row.
