Very predictable result when fourth rankedBesiktas (11-4) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Samsun (2-13) 76-70 on Saturday. Besiktas outrebounded Samsunspor 41-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Dominican Angel Delgado (208-1994, college: Seton Hall) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds. American forward Matt Mitchell (198-1999, college: SDSU) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Besiktas' coach Dusan Alimpijevic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Goktug Bas (201-2001) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Jamaican-American guard Sek Henry (193-1987, college: Nebraska) added 18 points respectively. Four Samsunspor players scored in double figures. Besiktas moved-up to third place. Samsunspor lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost.
