Regular Season Round 6: LCC Klaipeda - Siauliai 81-72

Leader LCC Klaipeda recorded the thirteenth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Siauliai (3-9) 81-72. LCC Klaipeda players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for Brazilian Maisa Pereira (183-2002, agency: Interperformances) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Gerda Raulusaityte (189-2004) contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four LCC Klaipeda players scored in double figures. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Bulgarian guard Valeria Aleksieva (166-2000) added 19 points and 6 assists in the effort for Siauliai. LCC Klaipeda maintains first position with 13-1 record. Siauliai lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Kedainiu. LCC Klaipeda will play against Aistes-LSMU (#4) in Kaunas in the next round. Siauliai will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kibirkstis-MRU in Vilnius and hopes to get back on the winning track.
