Regular Season Round 16: SKM I - Perkunas 106-80

No shocking result in a game in Vilniaus where sixth rankedSKM I (9-7) smashed 8th ranked Perkunas (7-9) 106-80 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by SKM I. Perkunas managed to win second period 25-23 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SKM I dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Perkunas ' 40. SKM I looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Airidas Petraitis (189-2006) who helped to win the game recording 24 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and forward Mantas Gezevicius (198-2006) who added 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four SKM I players scored in double figures. SKM I's coach Arvydas Menkevicius felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Paulius Lukasevicius (181-2006) responded with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Dominykas Grunkis (164-2007) scored 26 points. SKM I maintains sixth position with 9-7 record. Perkunas lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost.
