Bottom-rankedPanevezys (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-65 loss to fifth ranked Siauliai (5-10) in Siauliai. Siauliai outrebounded Panevezys 40-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Kenyan center Mercy Wanyama (185-1992) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Siauliai players scored in double figures. Siauliai's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Migle Kisarauskaite (184-2005) answered with 17 points and the former international guard Dovile Saurazaite (174-1992) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for Panevezys. Siauliai moved-up to fourth place. Panevezys lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 11 games lost. They share the position with KA Saule.
