Regular Season Round 18: Aabyhoj - SISU 59-53
Date: March 9, 2024
Rather expected game when 5th rankedSISU (1-14) was defeated on the road by second ranked Aabyhoj (8-6) 59-53 on Saturday. Aabyhoj forced 27 SISU turnovers. International center Caroline Wich (185-1996, college: Portland St.) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Katrine Bjerregaard (180-2006) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Rim Taha (168-2004) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals and Josefine Haabegaard (180-1999) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. SISU's coach Susie Heede-Andersen rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Aabyhoj maintains second position with 8-6 record having five points less than leader Falcon. SISU lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Aabyhoj are looking forward to face league's leader Falcon in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SISU will play at home against Herlev (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
