Regular Season Round 5: Brose Bask. - Noerdlingen 75-82

Nordlingen surprised another opponent with a terrific team effort in their 82-75 overtime road win over brose Baskets Bamberg Sunday evening at JAKO Arena in Bamberg. Trailing by 6pts in the final minutes of regulation, Nordlingen buried two clutch three point shots to send the game to OT. Poor FT shooting plagued Bamberg down the stretch and in the extra session. Bamberg held a 22-21 lead after 1Q and extended it to 42-39 at half. Head Coach Andreas Wagner and his Nordlingen team responded with a 19-11 3Q and held a 58-53 lead going into Q4. Bamberg put themselves in position to win leading by 6 but Nordlingen found a way to even the score at 71 forcing overtime. Omari Westley led Nordlingen with a terrific 26pt 5reb game hitting 10 of 14 shots. Danny Gibson added 14pt on 4 of 9 threes and Nordlingen got 10pt apiece from Osvaldo Jeanty and Avi Kazarnovski in the win. Nate Johnson posted a 20pt 10reb double double for Bamberg and Predrag Suput added 15pt 7reb. Filberto Rivera chipped in 12pt 7ast and Jared Newson 10pt. Nordlingen shot 44% from the floor and outrebounded Bamberg 40-36 in the win. Bamberg shot 46%. Nordlingen enjoyed advantages from beyond the three point line (nordlingen 10-24 41% ;Bamberg 7-21 33%) and at the foul line (nordlingen 10-17 58%; Bamberg 8-19 42%). Nordlingen is now 4-1 while Bamberg is 1-4.
