Dustin Salisberry and Kyle Visser celebrated their birthdays in style with NewYorker Phantoms Braunschweig exciting 78-77 overtime home win over Paderborn Baskets Sunday evening at Volkswagonhalle in Braunschweig. A close game throughout, both teams had opportunities to earn the win. In the final seconds of OT, trailing by two, Paderborn's Lavelle Felton drove past Visser and finished an And1 baseline pullup evening the score at 77. Missing the FT, Paderborn's Marius Nolte was called for a foul reaching against Braunschweig's Jason Cain. With 3sec remaining, Cain missed his first but made his second FT attempt giving Head Coach Emir Mutapcic and his team the hardfought win. Salisberry led the Phantoms with 20pt 8reb while Visser and Jonathan Levy scored 16pt apiece. Will Franklin added 11pt and Jason Cain 10pt 8reb in the win. Lavelle Felton paced Paderborn with 21pt while Steve Esterkamp scored 14pt and Chris Ensminger posted a strong 14pt 15reb double double. Stephen Wright added 13pt in his return to face his former team. Braunschweig upped their record to 2-3 while Paderborn fell to 1-4.
