Regular Season Round 11: Rilski Sportist - Levski Sofia 91-71

Rilski Sportist recorded its best win of the season after winning today with 20 points margin for the delight of their fans in Samokov. And the win came against no other but the leader in the standings Levski with 91-71. The hosts played their best game of the season and in the same time the visitors played their worst and there was only one outcome. The difference could have been bigger because Rilski was playing very good and at times had a lead of 26 points. At the end the players of Levski cut it to 20 but the team was nowhere near its best play. A big deficit for the team was the absence of the Bobby Fraser who is injured. Rilski Sportist dominated during the whole game and gave Levski only the second loss of the season after the one against Lukoil Academic in the opening round. Today though 'The Blues' were totally outplayed from a very mobilized team who had a great leader on the court - Lamont Jones (183-G-72, agency: Passing Lane, college: Bridgeport). 'Professor' Jones was the best player on the court as he finished with 22 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Travis Peterson ended up with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists as the captain Aleksandar Gruev added 14 points - all in the second half. The two best players in NBL so far Aaron Harper and Donald Cole played their worst games of the season. The top scorer in the championship Harper scored only 5 points while the power forward added 10.
