An interesting game took place in Mexico City, where higher ranked Potros (17-19) lost to sixteenth ranked Titanes (8-27) in a road game 80-90. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Potros. It was an exceptional evening for Cameroonian forward Salomon Angounou (202-83, college: Arizona St.) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Jesus Lopez (205-83, college: SW Baptist) accounted for 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Titanes players scored in double figures. Titanes' coach Roberto Zaragoza allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Puerto Rican-Venezuelan swingman Rafael Perez (193-82, agency: Paris Global Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Puerto Rican guard Ansel Guzman (174-84, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 17 points respectively for Potros in the defeat. Newly promoted Titanes maintains sixteenth place with 8-27 record. Potros at the other side keep the eleventh position with 19 games lost. Titanes' next round opponent will be higher ranked Soles (#10) in Mexicali and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
